Investing in your wedding invitations provides your guests with exactly what to expect from your wedding, setting the tone for your day. It’s the FIRST thing your guests receive about your event, telling them all the important information they need to know while sharing a bit of your love story. Not to mention, it literally lasts for MONTHS. We like to think that makes them pretty important ;). We offer custom wedding stationery packages that vary from the basic invite and RSVP to full wedding stationery, designing your save the date and finishing with your wedding menu, program, and place cards. 

Our average bride spends around $2,800 for wedding stationery, with design packages starting at $1,600. Once all information is received through our wedding invitation questionnaire, a custom quote is built to your needs. All our invitations are printed on luxurious cotton paper, with upgrades available to handmade paper. Once you fill out our wedding invitation questionnaire, we will respond within 2-3 business days with a custom quote. We can also set up a consultation to go over the quote or any questions you may have. Once it’s approved, a contract will be sent over for you to sign. A 50% non-refundable retainer of the estimated total amount AND the signed contract must be submitted to reserve your wedding date in our design calendar. Once we receive both of those forms, you’re booked for your wedding!

Depending on the time you book your wedding date, we start the design process soon after the retainer and contract are submitted. Invitation design typically starts at 5-6 months before the event date, depending on the scale of the wedding and project. At the start of the design process, you will be sent a form to fill out with all of your wedding information, including full names, venues, times, response date, etc. Initial designs are then drafted with your information and sent to you for review. Your response is requested within 5 business days of receipt to stay within the projected design and production timeline. Any changes requested will be returned to you within 5 business days, and the process continues until the the final proofs are sent. Two rounds of revisions are included with your wedding stationery. If revisions move past the third round of proofs, an hourly charge of $75 is applied to your final invoice. Once final proofs are sent and signed off on by you, they are sent off to print and assembly supplies (if applicable) are ordered. The design process can take anywhere from 1-2 months before they go into production.

Depending on the finishing and assembly options you’ve selected, production lasts 4-6 weeks after the design is approved for print. During this time, invitation pieces are sent to print, assembly supplies are ordered (ribbons, wax seals, etc.), and calligraphy addressing (if selected) is done during this time. Once all printed pieces and supplies are received, they are either assembled and mailed by our team or delivered to you for assembly and mailing to your guests! We ship invitation suites 10 weeks before the wedding, so you have time to assemble and stamp all the envelopes, to mail out 6-8 weeks before your wedding. If assembly and mailing is chosen, everything will stay with me for assembly and postage and mailed out to your guests. Then the RSVPs start rolling in!


How far in advance should I book for wedding invitations?

We recommend at LEAST 7 months before your wedding date, preferably to a year if you’re thinking about Save the Dates. The custom design process starts between 5-6 months before your wedding, so the sooner you book, the better your chances of your date being available!

How much should I expect to spend on wedding invitations?

This all depends on your budget, but you should expect to spend at least $1,100 on your wedding stationery. There isn’t just paper involved, as much as you think it is just paper. Your suite can range from 2-7 pieces (maybe more!), add on 2-3 envelopes, liners, addressing, response and mailing postage, assembly items, and extras for keepsakes, photos, and because your dad decided he needs you to send 5 more invitations after you’ve already sent them all out. Our average couple spends around $2,800 on custom wedding stationery, and our basic custom stationery package starts at $1,600. What are all these printing options? Foil, letterpress? HELP!

We offer standard digital (or flat) printing on all our invitation suites. Upgrades are available for foil stamping (a hot die plate stamps metallic film into the paper) and letterpress printing (a plate is coated with ink and then pressed into the paper, leaving behind an impression). Both are beautiful finishes to your invitations and are offered on the semi-custom line and custom stationery.

Do you only serve Northeast PA couples?

Nope! We have clients all over the country and can ship anywhere!

What is the basic timeline for wedding invitations? When should I send them out?

Custom wedding invitations take 2 months to design and complete, sometimes longer depending on the scale of the project. We typically start the design process 5-6 months before the wedding date, starting with the custom proposal and initial design ideas, through revisions and final proof approval. Once approved, we send it off to the printer and order all materials for assembly, this takes around 4-6 weeks of production (again, depending on the scale of the invitation suite and finishing processes). Semi-Custom Invitations take 4-6 weeks from start to finish, for those with a shorter time frame.

Wedding invitations should be sent out 6-8 weeks prior to the event, 10-12 weeks for destination weddings. For Save the Dates, we recommend sending those out 6-8 months in advance, 9-12 for destination weddings.

Are envelopes included with my invitations?

We include blank white or ivory envelopes with every invitation order. Other envelope colors are available upon request, and we personally love that pop of color in a mailbox! Address printing and calligraphy addressing are available as add-ons in our shop.

When should the RSVP deadline be?

We recommend the Response Date for your guests to be no later than 1 MONTH before your wedding date. This allows sufficient time for gathering your guests’ information and setting up the seating chart (which is a task in itself). This also gives your stationer/calligrapher (Hi!👋) enough time to get your day-of pieces put together and printed. We do not accept any Day-Of Stationery orders within the 3 week mark of the event date.

Do you assemble the invitations?

We offer assembly services for an additional fee, depending on the final quantity and assembly materials (ribbon, wax seals, etc.). Please inquire if you are interested in assembly services on our invitation questionnaire.

Do you offer design only services? Can I print the invitations myself?

At this point we print ALL of our invitation designs, custom and semi-custom. This ensures the quality of our finished work.
