CUSTOM WEDDING INVITATIONS
AND STATIONERY

A Timeless Heirloom that is Uniquely Yours

Custom wedding invitations and stationery allows us to create a completely unique wedding invitation that reflects the couple while also giving a first hint of their wedding day. At the end of it all, your wedding day is just the beginning of your new life together. We work closely with couples for months before their special day to create the perfect first piece of their event to their guests, pulling in little details from their love story and tying in aspects of their wedding into paper form to create a truly unique, keepsake piece.

Custom stationery design spots are limited each year to give these couples the extra attention they require, as we work one on one to design and produce invitations and stationery. We recommend reaching out between 8 months to a year before your wedding date to book this service.

The average Santina Amendola Design couple spends around $3,800 on wedding stationery, including wedding day items. Pricing for a base custom invitation package with 100 suites starts at $1,900.

The Invitation Process

Step 1

Inquiry and Booking

The first step to start working with us is filling out our wedding inquiry form below! Once submitted, we will reach out within 1-2 business days to set up a consultation to get more details about your wedding day and create a custom proposal just for you!

Step 2

Design/Customization

Following booking and depending on the service you choose, we will begin creating or customizing your dream invitation suite between 5 and 6 months before your wedding. You will receive digital proofs to review your invites, where we will make sure they are perfect before sending to print!

Step 3

Production & Delivery

Once the design is finalized and your official invitation count is in, your invites will move into production and, depending on printing methods and embellishments, can take around 4-6 weeks before they are shipped or mailed on your behalf to your guests!

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book for wedding invitations?

We recommend at LEAST 7 months before your wedding date, preferably to a year if you’re thinking about Save the Dates. The custom design process starts between 5-6 months before your wedding, so the sooner you book, the better your chances of your date being available!

How much should I expect to spend on wedding invitations?

This all depends on your budget, but you should expect to spend at least $1,000+ on your wedding stationery. There isn’t just paper involved, as much as you may think it is just paper. Your suite can range from 2-7 pieces (maybe more!), add on 2-3 envelopes, liners, addressing, response and mailing postage, assembly items, and extras for keepsakes, photos, and because your dad decided he needs you to send 5 more invitations after you’ve already sent them all out. Our average couple spends around $3,800 on custom wedding stationery, and our basic custom stationery package starts at $1,700. Our semi-custom line offers more affordable options, with the most basic 3-piece suite starting around $950 for 100 3 piece suites.

What are all these printing options? Foil, letterpress? HELP!

We offer standard digital (or flat) printing on all our invitation suites. Upgrades are available for foil stamping (a hot die plate stamps metallic film into the paper) and letterpress printing (a plate is coated with ink and then pressed into the paper, leaving behind an impression). Both are beautiful finishes to your invitations and are offered on the semi-custom line and custom stationery.

Do you only serve Northeast Pennsylvania weddings?

Nope! We have clients all over the country and can ship anywhere, that includes worldwide! Our invitations have been sent for Philadelphia weddings, NYC weddings, New Jersey weddings, as well as California, Hilton Head, Kiawah Island, and abroad!

What is the basic timeline for wedding invitations?

Custom wedding invitations take around 2 months to design and complete, sometimes longer depending on the scale of the project. We typically start the design process 6-7 months before the wedding date, starting with the custom proposal and initial design ideas, through revisions and final proof approval. Once approved, we send it off to the printer and order all materials for assembly. This takes around 4-6 weeks of production (again, depending on the scale of the invitation suite and finishing processes). Semi-Custom Invitations take 4-6 weeks from start to finish, for those with a shorter time frame.

When should wedding invitations be mailed?

Wedding invitations should be sent out 8-10 weeks prior to the event, 10-12 weeks for destination weddings. For Save the Dates, we recommend sending those out 6-8 months in advance, 9-12 for destination weddings.

Are envelopes included with my invitations?

Envelopes are included in each custom quote, whether you are interested in custom design or ordering a semi-custom suite. We include return address printing and variable guest address printing in quotes unless you are interested in calligraphy services (which we also offer!).

What is recommended for the RSVP Wedding timeline?

We recommend the Response Date for your guests to be no later than 1 MONTH before your wedding date. This allows sufficient time for gathering your guests’ information and setting up the seating chart (which is a task in itself). This also gives your stationer/calligrapher (Hi!👋) enough time to get your day-of pieces put together and printed. We do not accept any Day-Of Stationery orders or inquiries within the 3 week mark of the event date.

Do you assemble the invitations?

We fully assemble and stuff envelopes for every custom invitation client, so you don’t need to worry about figuring out how to tie that ribbon or how to use that wax seal stamp. For semi-custom orders, we offer assembly services for an additional fee, depending on the final quantity and assembly materials (ribbon, wax seals, etc.). All orders do include an assembled suite to follow, along with an assembly video should you choose to assemble yourself. Please inquire if you are interested in assembly services for your semi-custom invitation.
